Aether: create live visuals and perform them
A native VJ tool for Mac — built for real-time visual performance. No browser, no required cloud: load, manipulate, hit the projector. The DEMO is the full product, with a watermark until you activate the license.
Launch Edition €49: lifetime license, up to 3 computers, no subscription. Mac Apple Silicon and Intel today. Windows coming.
These visuals were made with Aether
Since June 2026, videos on the videolabmko channel are made with Aether. Three clips below — the same software as the DEMO, not mockups.
Three moves, one show
Play
Start from clips, camera, NDI/Syphon or 19 GPU generators. No hours of editing if you want to hit the music now.
Manipulate
Effect chains, audio-reactive kick and bass, MIDI Map. Change the look while it plays, not after the set.
Perform
Cues, A/B crossfader, multiple outputs. The picture stays on the projector. You conduct; you don’t render.
The same installer as the full version
One app. Without a key a watermark stays in a corner. After purchase you paste the license: no second download, no cloud account for the show.

What Aether does today
Deck, cues and crossfader
Stacked layers, a cue grid you can fire live, A/B crossfader, macros to move several parameters at once.
Live sources
Video files from disk, webcam, NDI on the network and GPU sharing: Syphon on Mac, Spout on Windows. Resolume and OBS come in as layers.
19 GPU generators
Plasma, terrain, particles, starfield, wireform, procedural flight and other native looks: no clips to prep if you want to start from nothing.
74 chained effects
Effects on cell, layer or master. Import custom looks and toggle them live without rebuilding the show.
Native audio-reactive
FFT, kick, pitch and polyphonic voices in the engine. Visuals follow the music with no plugin and no graph to wire.
MIDI Map
Map faders, cells and parameters to a controller. Useful on stage when you don’t want the trackpad.
Multi-output
Several monitors or projectors, each with the full composition or a slice (halves, quarters). Mapping for club or festival setups.
Recording
Capture the show output for archive, social or replay. Hardware decode up to 4K in preview and output.
0.1.0 is not a hidden beta
It is the first public edition. You are an early adopter. In return you get the Launch price, the same engine already used on visuals published since June 2026, and ongoing updates.
Native, not web
Rust engine, desktop UI. The show runs on the Mac even without a network. It is not a page in the browser.
Music in the engine
Native FFT, kick, pitch, polyphonic voices. Generators move with the track: you don’t assemble an analyser.
DEMO = product
Same installer. Without a key a watermark stays in a corner. After purchase you paste the license: no second download.
Built to conduct
Cues, crossfader and MIDI at the centre. Not an editing timeline: a performance deck.
Real visuals
Since June 2026, videolabmko videos come out of Aether: not mockups, real sets.

What is Aether?
Aether is native Mac VJ software from CentroSCS: a live visual compositor to create and perform in real time — layers, cues, crossfader, GPU generators, effects, MIDI, NDI/Syphon, multi-output. Page: https://centroscs.it/en/aether.php
Is Aether a Resolume alternative?
Yes as a Launch-tier Mac VJ tool: same job (live visuals), different price and maturity. Resolume Avenue ~€299 and Arena ~€799 (public lists, August 2026). Aether Launch Edition is €49 lifetime. Compare: https://centroscs.it/en/aether-vs-resolume.php
Does Aether work offline?
Yes. Native macOS app, no browser and no required cloud during the show. The network is only needed once to activate the license.
How much does Aether cost? Is it a subscription?
Launch Edition €49, perpetual (lifetime) license, up to 3 computers, no subscription. https://centroscs.it/en/buy-aether.php
How do I download the DEMO?
From https://centroscs.it/en/download-aether.php. Mac Apple Silicon (M1–M4) and Mac Intel. Same installer as the paid version; without a key a watermark stays on. Windows coming.
Who is Aether for?
VJs, visual performers, DJs with projections, event and club teams who want a native Mac tool without a multi-hundred-euro VJ suite. People already on Arena/Avenue with advanced mapping often stay there.
What does version 0.1.0 mean?
First public edition, early adopter. Visuals on the videolabmko channel since June 2026 are already made with this software. Not a mockup: Launch Edition in active development.
Does Aether speak Italian and English?
Yes. IT and EN UI in the app, with license activation. Site in Italian and English.
Is Aether better than Resolume?
No: it is a younger, cheaper product. Resolume is the industry standard. Aether is for people who want to run visuals on Mac now, at a Launch price, with a DEMO identical to the paid file.
Does Aether analyse audio on its own?
Yes. In the engine: FFT, kick, pitch, polyphonic voices. GPU generators follow the music with no plugin and no graph to build. Resolume and VDMX have audio tools; in Aether analysis is the default.
